Abstract: EpiEndo was founded in 2014 and took its first steps in research and development within BMC. From inception and until the company filed its patent in late year 2016, all of its research was conducted in Iceland and most of it under the BMC umbrella.
Given the spirit of the times, it is clear that the biotech industry will grow rapidly in Iceland in the coming years. It is therefore important that those start-ups that emerge here do not wither due to circumstances or be forced to operate abroad but have the conditions to mature domestically and pursue product development based on progressive research of the highest quality.
