Physiology

Physiology is a field of research that involves studies of the function of cells, tissue and organs of the body, at different levels.  The field attempts to explain the physical and chemical processes on which body functions are based, both in health and disease. To that end, physiologists have developed methods and means to measure physiological activity and processes at both microscopic and macroscopic levels.
