Title: How to interact with a computer: a brief practical introduction to UNIX commands
Schedule: https://tinyurl.com/bmcbfhosschedule
Next week, we are resuming the practical hands-on sessions by the BMC Bioinformatics Facility. Here is the full planned schedule.
The first session will be a hands-on introduction to the Terminal commands. These commands are basic tools to operate with a computer, very powerful to navigate data. These commands may appear as very distant to the biomedical field, but they are instrumental to enable molecular biology high-throughput data analysis.
These sessions are primarily hands-on. Please bring your computers and make sure you have access to a Terminal. For Windows users, please follow these instructions on How to install Linux on Windows with WSL. If you need help before the session, please do not hesitate to reach out to Adrian (adrian at hi dot is).
I will request to record the session in Zoom so people interested in the materials have the possibility to check them out at another time.
See you all next Wednesday!
