Title: Programming environments: plain text editors, RStudio and Jupyter lab

Our next session will be a hands-introduction to plain text editors, RStudio and Jupyter notebooks. We will illustrate their functionality by creating a volcano plot and a heatmap from transcriptome quantification profiles.

Please make sure you have installed any plain text editor of your preference (Emacs, Atom, Visual Studio Code, etc.), RStudio and Jupyter Lab. 

We will have extra times to help you install these tools on your computers. We will be available on Tuesday 3rd of December at 10:00 and on Wednesday 4th at 13:00 in Zoom (https://eu01web.zoom.us/my/adrian.hi) to help you install RStudio and Jupyter Lab. Dont hesitate to drop by my desk (Adrian) if you have questions.

For Jupyter Lab, you need to install Anaconda. Once you have Anaconda you can launch Jupyter Lab.
