Our next session will be a hands-introduction to plain text editors, RStudio and Jupyter notebooks. We will illustrate their functionality by creating a volcano plot and a heatmap from transcriptome quantification profiles.
Please make sure you have installed any plain text editor of your preference—Visual Studio Code is recommended but other options are Emacs and Atom. Please make sure you also have installed RStudio, and Jupyter Lab.

For Jupyter Lab, you need to install Anaconda. Once you have Anaconda you can launch Jupyter Lab from the main panel.
