Title: Personalized medicine, integrating genetic data into clinical care.

Short abstract: Personalized medicine based on the genetic background of the patient is increasingly being advocated to tailor both preventive, diagnostic and clinical applications to patient care. Here in Iceland we have better insight into the genetics of the population giving us an opportunity to implement personalised medicine in various clinical settings. In the talk I will discuss the background and possibilities for improving health care and contributing to discoveries in the field.
