Title: Landscape of somatic genetics in 560 whole breast cancer genomes

Abstract: Based on the largest cohort of whole-genome sequenced cancers of single tissue type to date, Dr. Nik-Zainal will describe the landscape of somatic genetics in this dataset paying particular attention to novel findings. Recurrent mutations in the non-coding regions and mutational profiles that distinguish BRCA1 from BRCA2 null cancers will be described. Additionally, dr. Nik-Zainal will present their method of whole genome profiling which provides distinctive visualisations of individual patient tumours.
